Project Background
Research on Medical Practices (ROMP) involves the randomization of real patients to different treatment options that are considered equally good. The goal is to identify if one treatment is better than the other. The bioethics research team asked us to help explain this basic idea to patients.
Funded by: National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences
Our Work
We created a set of comics and videos using visual metaphors, such as a gumball machine, to show how randomization works in the context of Research on Medical Practices.
