Where is my hula hoop?
Encouraging healthy habits to prevent childhood obesity
Project Background
Childhood obesity is increasingly common in the United States. Home visiting programs provide an opportunity to help families build habits to prevent obesity. The developers of the HABITS curriculum asked us to create a storybook to supplement their other skill-building activities.
Client: Home Visiting Program
Our Work
We created the character of Little Rabbit, who learns the four healthy habits of the program. This playful and simple story uses repetition and a child’s point of view to make the story accessible to very young children. In the narrative, Little Rabbit is looking for its hula hoop while Mother Rabbit suggests different places to look.
